An Example -

THE "FRED" TOUR

Three days riding, Three nights resting, Groups of 6 or more, tailored to your group.

We’re excited to announce our first ever bespoke tour in the beautiful Cold Dark North. And we're starting with the "daddy". The big one. The Fred.

Our trips are deliberately tough. They feature hard (but rewardingly beautiful) routes at a fair pace. They aren’t intended to be for anyone but committed road cyclists.

On the Fred Tour, you'll arrive on the Thursday afternoon or evening and stay in our lovely Lake District hotel accommodation - ideally located to explore the stunning local hills and valleys over the next few days.

Day 1

On Friday, we’ll take you on a fully van supported and led gentle warm up ride around the quiet back roads of North Lancashire, the Lune Valley and the beautiful coastal area of Silverdale - we'll stop for lunch on our ride and have you home in time for a good feed and a decent night's sleep before the main event on Day 2. Ride fuel is included.

Day 2

There's not much that can be said about the route of the Fred Whitton Challenge that you won't have already read. This famous (infamous!) annual Lake District cycling event has a reputation as one of the hardest single day cycling challenges that you can do in the UK, perhaps in the World.

Starting and finishing in Coniston, the route is 177km (112 miles) and takes in about half of Everest in climbing (3,500m/11,000ft) over these iconic passes and mountains:

On many of these great passes the Romans thought that it was fine to maintain lengthy stretches with gradients at over 30%.

Again, you'll be fully van supported all day and our ride leaders will keep the group on the straight (,steep) and narrow. Lunch and ride fuel is included for all riders. You and your bike will be transported to and from the start/finish. We will keep you fed and watered throughout the day.

Day 3

On the Sunday we’ll ride another gentle route finding the flattest most beautiful lanes in Cumbria, Lancashire and Yorkshire that we can to help your recovery from the Fred. The ride will be fully van supported and ride led. Lunch and ride fuel is included for all riders.
